Feels so big,
So empty,
Without you by my side.
I wake up
In the night
And the darkness
Fools me into believing
That you are on the
Pillow next to me.
I reach out for you,
Only to touch
The tender shadows
Of darkness
That hang in the air
Nearby.
The room
Seems cold
Without your heat
Even
In the dead of summer.
I let out a silent whimper,
“I miss you.”
And try to dream
That you’re here.
