I’m speechless.
Speechlessly in awe,
In gratitude.
You never cease
To amaze me.
When I’m at my lowest point
And the ways of the world
Are closing in on me,
Sometimes I look to You
And it seems as though
You are not there.
I think that I’m on
My very last ounce of strength
And You’ve planned my day to pass,
But from nowhere,
You seem to come down from above,
Laying upon me
Your mercy and grace.
I am a sinner,
It’s in my blood.
I must make You sick,
Always coming back to You,
Only to run off and sin again.
I’m ashamed
Of my own behavior,
But I’m astounded, Lord,
At Your response.
Every time I fall at Your feet,
After disobeying Your commands
And ignoring Your will,
You tenderly forgive my soul,
Pitying my stupidity,
Rather than punishing my foolishness.
How, Father, do You have such patience,
Such unconditional love?
You’re more dedicated to me
In one moment,
Than I am to You
In a lifetime.
Christ, my Savior,
I wish I could express
My tremendous gratitude,
But I’m speechless.
Just speechless.
