It seems most Christians,
Don’t believe I’m Christian enough.
It also seems,
Most worldly people,
Believe I’m not worldly enough.
Now common sense tells me,
The Christians,
By judging me alone,
Are in no position,
To declare I’m not Christian enough.
See,
This is where,
My worlds collide.
I seem to be persecuted most
For my every action,
By those supposedly from
The Christian world.
The worldly people,
Though sometimes outspoken,
Are by far,
More accepting,
Of who I am,
What I believe,
And how I act.
How does this work?
My heart,
It knows Christ,
So very intimately.
It tells me,
Christ tells me-
There is a fine line,
Between the worldly,
And the Christian.
But it is not
Where it appears to be.
The two peoples,
Placed it in such a way,
To deceive all.
Truthfully,
Many of those
Who want you to believe
That they’re worldly,
Are most definitely Christian.
And likewise,
Far too many worldly
Claim to be Christian,
And walk on that side of life deceptively.
The line,
Does not lie
With churches, youth groups,
Bibles, or even prayers.
Sometimes not even with
Actions or words,
But with hearts.
Always with hearts.
Christ, I’m torn
Between two worlds,
Because only You,
Can draw the line.
