I'm thankful for friends, family and church members that are brave enough to share their struggles with others so that we can form meaningful relationships and glean wisdom and and encouragement through shared experiences. Coming alongside others in their time of need is a special opportunity that blesses all parties involved.
Speaking of opportunities, I like to share about wholesome family movies. While I have not yet seen Disney's "Queen of Katwe," (it comes out in theatres tomorrow, September 30, 2016) it has my attention. It's based on a true story!! Is it just because I homeschool that I get so excited about this? Probably not as it's always excited me to know as I watch or read something that it is a rendition of a real event. It is not just figments of someone's imagination and creative talent; it is also someone's testimony. An account of their trials and/or triumphs. Check out the featurette if you'd like:
