A feather fell from
An angel’s wing
And a demon
Broke the end of his tail.
The clocks show no time,
For time is irrelevant.
The world’s gone mute,
Deaf, or both, perhaps.
The sun’s shining dull
And fog hangs
Because all the water ran dry.
Whatever you focus your eyes on
Becomes instantly a frozen
Picture in a movie scene.
You want to move
But you don’t have the energy
To gain the will power
To control your limbs.
Snowflakes would settle
On your eyelashes
Before you could manage to blink.
You wonder to yourself,
Am I alive or dead?
