To write from your heart is
to breathe deep, crisp fresh air. To cleanse
one’s soul of pains and sorrows, of aches and guilt.
To share from the heart is to admit. To admit that you
hurt, that you are alone and scared. And to forgive
yourself for not being perfect, not being who you’d
planned or hoped to be. To reveal from your heart
is to realize in all its complexities, difficulties,
and glories that you are human. You are
as fragile, as fickle, and as flawed
as anyone else, as everyone else;
as intelligent, creative, deep,
gorgeous, and intriguing
as everyone else. A
human you are,
but aren’t
we all
