What I see in your eyes.
You don’t feel
What flows from your heart.
If only you could imagine
The dreams your mind inspires,
Perhaps you could witness
The pure joy I experience
From being so near to you.
The unshed tears of your soul
Will, over time, melt
The walls of anger
Built to protect your heart
From further torture.
They will wash clean
Your memories
And encourage
Your very being.
You don’t understand
How I can love you so
And, I,
I cannot explain.
