I can smell your cologne
On my t-shirt.
I'm sitting here,
All alone
And remembering
Imagining
Myself lying in your arms.
Suddenly,
It's not about
What I wear
Or what you say.
It's not even about how we flirt,
Or even how we kiss.
It's about you and I,
It's about us.
Who we are,
And who we are together.
Hour our strengths and weaknesses
Compliment one another.
It occurred to me
How easily we could have broken up already.
You could've made the wrong move,
I could've done the wrong thing,
One of us could laugh at something
The other found serious.
Such a fine thread of coincidences
Holds us together.
Then I tried to understand...
Why?
How?
I can't comprehend
You loving me,
And us being happy.
I couldn't understand then,
But I do now.
Something much larger than a fine thread holds us together.
The Lord, in His Love, mystifies a human mind.
I thank Him, for this understanding.
