How would you know?
Do they have golden halos,
Or wings that glow?
Do they look just like you,
Or maybe just like me?
Even if you got an eerie feeling,
How certain could you be?
Would the angel be a stranger,
Or someone you knew well?
If you did see and angel,
How could you tell?
Could you see it in their eyes,
Or in the expression on their face?
Do angels stick around,
Or work and vanish without a trace?
If you suspected you saw an angel,
Could they confess to you with their voice?
Or would they have to remain elusive,
And not even have the choice?
Do angels stay in heaven,
Or lead lives on Earth doing God’s work?
If they had spare time,
Where would they choose to lurk?
If an angel appeared to you,
And told you to learn how to live,
Would it affect the way you think,
And how much you give?
If you knew an angel was nearby,
Would you change your ways?
Or would you go into denial,
And put on fake plays?
If having an angel in you life,
Would make you think about what’ll happen when you die,
Then I beg you to open your eyes,
They’re all around, and you know why.
