Written by Crystal Bowman and Teri McKinley, the children's book, "Do Baby Bears Have Mommies?" is a colorful, rhyming book that takes me just under 3 minutes to read aloud. My just-turned five-year-old enjoyed it the first time I read it, but has never asked for another reading. This book isn't only about baby bears and mommies, each time you turn the page there is a new animal being discussed. The first couple pages are an introduction to the fact that we have questions, God made our minds amazing, and learning is fun. After that, each page spread is illustrated in a bright and friendly manner, with a couple sentences asking a question about an animal, followed by a couple sentences giving facts about the animal being discussed. |
I like the book, but in my opinion it has a rather narrow age range as it's best for toddlers. It would be cute in a waiting room, nursery or daycare for little ones. It's part of the "I've Got Questions" series which also includes, "Does God Take Naps?" (which I haven't read at this point).
